Need ideas for activities this summer? Want to be inspired to read and head out into our community? Want to gain points and win free stuff by doing all the things you already plan on doing? Sign up for the Summer Reading Club! From June 7 until August 2 kids, teens, and adults can get points as you read, explore your library, and go out into your community. All who sign up will receive a sticker sheet, bookmark, and a free book in June along with another free book and a tote bag in July just for signing up! Everyone who has at least one point each month will be entered into the drawing to win a prize that month, so be sure to log your reading and activities on Beanstack before the end of each month. Each location will have a prize winner each month.
You can earn points for Summer Reading by doing anything from checking out a book, e-book, audiobook, or movie; exploring the library by attending an event, joining a club, or going to Storytime, Babytime or Playtime; and by exploring the community by using a Discovery Pass, visiting a county park, or even by cheering on the South Bend Cubs!
Finally, join us on Friday, August 2 starting at 4:30 PM in the Richard Pfeil Family Courtyard to soak up the dog days of summer at the Summer Reading Wrap Up Party! Pick up Summer Reading Club prizes, enjoy family friendly activities, and meet animals from Potawatomi Zoo at 6 p.m. We can’t wait to see you all this summer!
