Creative Code with Google CS First

January 8, 2021 | By: Communications Staff

Learn code through storytelling! SJCPL and Notre Dame’s Hesburgh Libraries co-present an 8 week coding course in Scratch for students ages 8-14. Students learn coding concepts while unleashing their creativity.

Participants use graphics supplied by Scratch to design visual scenes for their very own short stories. Students use code to animate the images, create a plot, develop character conversations, include interactive features, and more.

Because courses build on each other, please plan to attend all 8 sessions. Classes held on Tuesdays from 5:00-6:30 p.m. from January 16 through March 6 at the Main Library. Call 574-282-4646 or email library@sjcpl.org to register. No prior coding experience is necessary.
