Create-A-Bookmark Contest

January 8, 2018 | By: Communications Staff

The annual Create-A-Bookmark contest is presented by St. Joseph County Public Library (SJCPL) in partnership with 1st Source Bank. Aspiring artists (grades 1-12) are challenged to create a bookmark inspired by elements—quotes, characters, stories—of their favorite book. Submission forms can be picked up or dropped off at any SJCPL branch or South Bend 1st Source Bank location between Friday, January 26, and Friday, March 16, 2018.

For the second year in a row, a People’s Choice Award will be given out. The public can vote for their favorite bookmark by clicking “Like” on entries posted in the library’s 2018 Create-A-Bookmark Facebook album.

An exhibit of the winning bookmarks will be on display from April 12-30, 2018, on the Main Library’s 2nd Floor Lobby. All winners will be invited to attend an awards ceremony on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, in the Main Library’s Humphreys Multimedia Room, 304 S. Main St., South Bend, at 6:30 p.m. Winners will also receive a prize courtesy of 1st Source Bank, and winning entries will be distributed to SJCPL and South Bend 1st Source Bank locations.
