Join us for Explore-a-Story!
Enjoy a morning full of stories, imagination, and adventure with Grace and Box! Based on Kim Howard’s book Grace and Box, this interactive event is designed for children ages 0-5 and their caregivers. Through stories, music, dancing, and hands-on activities, children will explore early literacy skills while celebrating friendship, creativity, and the joy of imaginative play. Pick up your free copy of “Grace and Box” (while supplies last).

Immersive Storytelling
10:15 – 10:45 am
Location: Ballroom A & B
Enjoy an immersive retelling of Grace and Box by Kim Howard. Read, sing, and dance along to a retelling of the story. Each child will receive a colorful scarf and shaker to use during the performance and to take home (while supplies last).
Free Playtime
10:45 – 11:45 am
Location: CLC Second Floor
Stations:
- Sensory Room: Visit different sensory stations set up around the room.
- Community Partner: Enjoy family-friendly activities with local organizations and learn about the resources they offer.
- Box’s Boo Boo Repair: Kids will repair rips, holes, and other “boo boos” on the box!
- Imagination Playground: Kids will have the opportunity to use their imagination to build and create with boxes just like Grace did in the book!
- Family Activity: Leave your mark on Box! Help us bring Box to life by adding your own colorful designs to our giant community banners. Draw, doodle, decorate, and make Box uniquely yours!
- Reading Room: Families will also have a relaxing area to settle down and read with their children.
