How it works

Head to your favorite St. Joe County Public Library branch to sign up for Summer Reading Club and get your signup prize. You can also sign up at sjcpl.beanstack.org. If you have participated in Summer Reading before, scroll down to log in. In your account, you will see a list of current challenges that are available to you. Join the Early Literacy, Children, Teen, or Adult Summer Reading Club.
Track your reading by books or minutes, depending on your age group. You can use your tracker sheets (which you can get from a librarian) or through Beanstack. Once you have met the quota for each badge, go back to your library branch to redeem your prize.
Keep reading until you earn every badge!

Prize Structure

Early Lit: 15 books per badge, 3 badges
Kids: 200 minutes per badge, 3 badges
Teens: 5 books, 1 badge, plus raffle entries
Adults: 5 books, 1 badge, plus raffle entries

Kickoff Party!

Friday, June 3, 4-7 p.m.
Main Library, Richard Pfeil Family Courtyard

Celebrate the start of Summer Reading Club in the courtyard at Main Library! Enjoy games, activities, live music, giveaways, a Zumba class with Carlitos, and much more while you sign up for summer reading!

Throughout the Event: Activities and yard games, summer reading sign-up, food trucks (Kona Ice, Rico Suave), bicycle safety course and downtown rides with League Certified Instructors (LCI), Studio 304 after hours, information on Summer library programs, South Bend Lions Football Club reps, and more!

4-6pm: Live Music with “The Hillsiders”

6pm: Zumba class with Carlitos!
