STEAM Programs

Tinker. Build. Create.

At St. Joe County Public Library, our STEAM programs inspire kids, teens, and their families to explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through hands-on learning. Whether you’re coding, crafting, or experimenting, each STEAM program invites curiosity, creativity, and discovery in a fun, welcoming environment.

STEAM Labs

Tinker, build and create in our library STEAM lab for children ages 8 and up. Enjoy a new art, science or engineering activity each month.

Our Universe Revealed

In partnership with the College of Science at the University of Notre Dame and the College of Arts and Sciences at Indiana University South Bend, the Our Universe Revealed series aims to make science and research accessible to all. Attendees do not need a background in science or mathematics. Faculty experts explain the fundamentals of our universe in an easy-to-understand way. Events are typically held once a month on Tuesday evenings during the academic year at the Community Learning Center at Main Library.

Science Alive

All children are invited to explore science, technology, engineering and math at the annual Science Alive at Main Library each year. Explore interactive exhibits and hands-on activities with local science-related organizations! This event is free and open to the public.
