Art Starts Here

Artwork by: Israel Solomon, Michelle Engel, Olivia Rae Alexander, and Joe Segura.

Every work of art tells a story. At the library, we’re committed to making art and cultural experiences accessible to everyone because creativity sparks curiosity, builds connections, and helps us see the world from new perspectives.

Art is Everywhere at the Library

Each of our branches features artwork on public display, including pieces by local artists. Take a closer look the next time you stop by. You might just find a new favorite.

Experience the Work of Other Artists

The Main Library is home to two dedicated spaces for experiencing and sharing art: the Second Floor Gallery and the interactive smART Box. Both spaces give local artists opportunities to connect with the community and share their work.

The Second Floor Gallery showcases work by local artists ages 16 and older, from emerging artists to experienced creators. Artists can apply online to exhibit their work, connect with new audiences, and gain valuable exhibition experience.

The smART Box features interactive installations. Recent projects have invited patrons to become part of the artwork themselves. In a two-week project, over 200 people used acrylic pens to bring three large canvases to life. Stop by and add your mark to the next work of art.
