The Western Branch Library project is expected to include a significant and impactful strategic investment. This branch is one of the busiest in our system and is currently not the right size or configuration for its use.

We are considering a new branch facility within the heart of the existing neighborhood that prioritizes walkability and access.

This project may include:

• Construction of a new facility in the heart of the neighborhood
• Improved wayfinding and exterior signage
• New flexible shelving that highlights the branch collection 
• Upgraded restrooms
• Increased programming space
• Study rooms, meeting space, and areas to sit
• Expanded business center for copy/fax/print
