Summer 2022 Internships
An internship at the St. Joe County Public Library is a chance to give back to the community while gaining real life experience in a dynamic and challenging environment. People who work at the Library are committed to public service – and also get to spend their day surrounded by books!

Local & Family History Intern
The Local & Family History Intern will assist with preserving local history and providing services to the community and will support digitization projects, indexing, preservation, research, programs, and other activities.

Library Finance Intern
The Library Finance Intern will receive a broad training experience outlining the Library’s mission and impact and the associated finance and budgetary practices and procedures that support these efforts.

Bilingual Youth & Family Programming Intern
The Bilingual Youth & Family Programming Intern will help develop summer programming for youth and families and provide bilingual assistance.

Programming Intern
The Programming Intern will help to provide quality and relevant programming to the community’s adult population and assist the Adult Programming Specialist with community outreach efforts.

Events and Venues Intern
The Events and Venues Intern will help manage and maintain the new events space at Main Library and will support the department in preparing for and carrying out library and patron events.

Early Literacy Intern
The Early Literacy Intern will help develop early literacy activities and storytimes for the community and provide support to staff for our annual Summer Reading Challenge.

Teen Intern
The teen intern will help to plan, prepare, and run children and teen programming at our neighborhood branches and will have the opportunity to learn more about the youth of the neighborhood while helping to provide fun and enriching activities.
