An internship at the St. Joe County Public Library is a chance to give back to the community while gaining real life experience in a dynamic and challenging environment. People who work at the Library are committed to public service – and also get to spend their day surrounded by books!
Digital Preservation Intern
The Digital Preservation Intern will assist the Local & Family History department with preserving local history and providing services to the community and will digitize historical materials for our online collections as well as contribute to arrangement, description, and discovery of archival materials.
Non-Profit/Public Administration Intern
The Non-Profit/Public Administrative Intern will provide essential support to both the finance and human resources departments. As our intern you will contribute to meaningful projects, including coordination of the teen internship program, the digitization, preservation, and secure access of employee records, and reorganization of volunteer program.
Youth Experience Intern
The Youth Experience Intern will help develop summer experiences for youth and their families. These may include crafts, storywalks, STEAM challenges, and much more. As our intern, you will assist with our annual Summer Reading Club and other youth-focused initiatives, as well as have the chance to develop your own engaging activities in the Youth Services space.
Readers’ Services Intern
The Readers’ Services Intern will help promote recreational reading and the Adult Summer Reading Club. This position will help with readers’ advisory tools, promotional materials and displays, and aid in the organization and distribution of prizes systemwide for the Adult Summer Reading Club.
Youth Programing Intern
The Youth Programing Intern will work with the Youth Programming Specialist to provide quality and relevant programming to the community’s youth population across library locations.
Summer Teen Internship – River Park Branch
The River Park Branch is in search of a high school student to work with an Associate Librarian on planning, preparing, and running daily activities that occur Monday through Friday. Interns will have the opportunity to learn more about the youth of the neighborhood while helping to provide fun and enriching activities for the community.
Summer Teen Internship – LaSalle Branch
The LaSalle Branch is in search of a high school student to work with an Associate Librarian on planning, preparing, and running daily activities that occur Monday through Friday. Interns will have the opportunity to learn more about the youth of the neighborhood while helping to provide fun and enriching activities for the community.
Summer Teen Internship – Western Branch
The Western Branch is in search of a high school student to work with an Associate Librarian on planning, preparing, and running daily activities that occur Monday through Friday. Interns will have the opportunity to learn more about the youth of the neighborhood while helping to provide fun and enriching activities for the community.

The Tutt Branch is in search of a high school student to work with an Associate Librarian on planning, preparing, and running daily activities that occur Monday through Friday. Interns will have the opportunity to learn more about the youth of the neighborhood while helping to provide fun and enriching activities for the community.
