Winter Reading Challenge
The St. Joseph County Public Library is challenging adults to cozy up with a good book this winter during the first ever Winter Reading Challenge. Participants who read 5 books between January 13 and March 21 will be entered to win raffle prizes. Individuals 18 and older can register for the challenge at sjcpl.org/winter-reading-challenge.
Reading has countless benefits for adults, including increased focus, more empathy, better sleep, and reduced stress. The New Year is the perfect time to kickstart a habit of reading. SJCPL’s Winter Reading Challenge encourages adults to take time this winter to indulge in reading, whether for work, pleasure, or self improvement. For literary inspiration, the Library offers quick and easy personalized reading recommendations at sjcpl.org/next-great-read.
Participants can use their Summer Reading Challenge username and login or register at sjcpl.org/winter-reading-challenge. Beginning January 13, adults simply have to read, log their books, and earn raffle entries. The grand prize is a Winter Hibernation Kit with warm socks, a reading journal, Burts Bees gift set, and more.
