Reimagine the Main Library

On Tuesday, September 19th the St. Joseph County Public Library held a Community Forum to discuss the "Main Library Site and Facility Future Assessment" report put together by consultants from Kimberly Bolan & Associates. The report compiles service data, focus group suggestions, online survey details, and more. Their overview assesses how the Main Library can best meet current and future needs while maintaining excellent financial stewardship.

In March 2017, Kimberly Bolan & Associates began a series of conversations in order to determine whether or not the Main Library's planning process was as diverse and dynamic as the community it serves. The goals of this study were to determine how the Main Library can support both downtown South Bend and the county as a central link to cultural engagement and learning. It was also important to create a vision for the Main Library, driven by input and needs, that will move it into the future.

Guests in attendance were able to listen to the consultants' findings and give their opinions about the results. The complete report can be found here.
