Assessing the Main Library's Future
On Tuesday, September 19th the St. Joseph County Public Library will host a Community Forum to discuss the forthcoming report, "Main Library Site and Facility Future Use Assessment," completed by consultants from Kimberly Bolan & Associates. The report is part of the Main Library renovation process.
In March 2017, Kimberly Bolan & Associates began assessing the short- and long-term facility needs of the Main Library. They analyzed data related to library services and South Bend, conducted benchmarking, and gathered feedback from key stakeholders. The resulting assessment includes recommendations for how the Main Library should change to meet the future needs of its community.
At the forum, the findings and recommendations will be presented to the public. Community members will be encouraged to share their opinions about the assessment recommendations. Executive Director, Deb Futa, along with SJCPL senior leadership will be in attendance, as well as consultants from Kimberly Bolan & Associates.
This event will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. in the Main Library's Colfax Auditorium. Attendees can expect a 60-75 minute presentation and discussion.
