Discover Local Authors

Participate in the Main Library's first READ Local Author Fair on Saturday, September 23rd in the Humphreys Multimedia Room. Meet with published authors from the Michiana area as they discuss the writing process and autograph copies of their work. Confirmed authors include:

There will be a multitude of genres covered, including mystery, fantasy, local history, poetry, and more. Jesse Schell, Community Engagement Technician for the St. Joseph County Public Library, explained, "This is a great way to expose authors to the community. It's also nice to gather together a group of writers so they have the opportunity to share their experiences with one another." Books will range from beginning readers to adult.

The event is scheduled 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m., allowing guests to drop by anytime during those three hours. Most authors are expected to have their books available for purchase. Call 574.282.4658 with any event questions.
