Now available for checkout at Main Library: Playaway Launchpads, educational tablets exclusive to libraries.
Playaway Launchpads feature ten or more pre-installed educational game and story apps designed for ages 3-7. No connection to the Internet is required for use, which makes them a convenient option for road trips or homes without Internet service. Each Launchpad has a unique theme, with apps designed for a specific age group (ages 3-5 or ages 5-7). Available themes are:
- Animal Talk!
- Little Picasso!
- What a Dream!
- Dinoriffic!
- Fun on the Farm!
- ABCs Just for Me!
- Under a Word Spell!
- On the Clock!
- Parade of Sounds!
- Giddy Up! Let’s Create!
- Ship Shape!
Playaway Launchpads may be borrowed for 7 days by any patron 18+ with a full access SJCPL library card account. They must be checked out from and returned to the Youth Services department at the Main Library.
