Thank you for spending the day with us! You came and filled our halls and meeting rooms with laughter and excitement, making our family festival a success. We enjoyed seeing your smiling faces light up with wonder & joy throughout the day.
We started the day off with a famous toe-tapping Jim Gill Family Room Tour. Then, Victoria Kann shared about her Pinkalicious book series and signed many books for you. Madcap Puppets kept us entranced with a rousing rendition of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. We ended the day with tons of Pinktastic fun and sweet treats at the Pinkalicious Party. We hope you had as much fun as we did!
Thank you to our amazing presenters who shared their talents with us: author and illustrator Victoria Kann, musician Jim Gill, and puppeteers Madcap Puppets. Thank you to our volunteers who donated time and energy, and everyone who worked hard to make Open Book great!
We look forward to seeing you again next year!

1st show: 10:00 – 11:00am
2nd show: 12:00 – 1:00pm
Jim Gill, an award-winning musician and author, offers more than a show to watch. Each concert is an opportunity for family play!
In concert, Jim strums energetic rhythms on his banjo and his friend Don Stille plays the accordion while everyone claps, sings, dances and even sneezes along to the silly and inspiring musical games that they create.
This year's Family Room Tour celebrates Jim’s five awards, over 20 years, from the American Library Association. This includes an honor for his most recent release, Music Play for Folks of All Stripes.

She wrote and illustrated the New York Times best sellers Goldilicious, Silverlicious, Emeraldalicious, and Aqualicious. Currently she is working on several more books about the adventures and antics of Pinkalicious. Readers can follow her on Facebook and Twitter.
